The Company is listed on AIM and is pursuing a strategy to develop a range of its own alcohol brands and market them globally through arrangements with local market distributors.  The focus is to build an agile, low overhead business and compete in attractive spirit categories such as premium Vodka, premium Gin and Rum.

The Company’s primary assets are the brands that it owns and therefore spends considerable resources ensuring that it Intellectual Property assets are registered and protected in the countries where it operates.

The Company's main country of operation is the UK.

Principles of Corporate Governance

The policy of the Board is to manage the affairs of the Company in accordance with the principles underlying the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code.

The Board of Directors is accountable to shareholders for the good corporate governance of the Group. The principles of corporate governance and a code of best practice are set out in the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code.

Don Goulding

Executive Chairman
Joined the Distil Board mid 2010 as Non-Executive Director moving to Non-Executive Chairman in February 2011 and Executive Chairman in November 2011.

Previously held both UK and international senior management roles with Diageo including Managing Director Diageo UK from 1998, following five years in Spain as Managing Director UD Iberia (Diageo) other roles included positions based in various overseas markets and Global Brand Boards for Smirnoff and Tanqueray-Gordon and Chairman of The Portman Group.


Shaun Claydon

Non Executive Director
Shaun joined the Distil Board in 2015 as part time Finance Director.  He is a qualified chartered accountant, corporate financier and CFO with over 18 years lead advisory and main board experience. He has particular expertise in bringing companies to AIM and the Main Market. Shaun has previously held advisory roles at PwC, Evolution Securities, BDO and HSBC Investment Banking and has also recently served as CFO to two venture backed International Life Science companies. 

Roland grain

Non Executive Director
Roland has extensive experience in the Spirits industry within multi-faceted roles as an Owner, Investor and Director. Firstly, Roland has been an Investor in East London Liquor Company since 2015 and became a Director in 2020, as well as being the Owner of Austria’s largest whisky importer and distributor, Potstill Spirits Trading GmbH, since 2019. Roland is also the founding Investor and a Director of Manly Spirits. Additionally, Roland is the CEO and Owner of Grain GmbH since 1994, which provides IT Services focused on large international corporations. Roland has a Master of Science degree in Controlling and Financial Leadership from Danube University.

The issued share capital of the company comprises 906,113,864 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 0.1 p each.  Each share confers one voting right. 

In addition the company also has 87,758,508 deferred shares with a nominal value of 0.9p each. These deferred shares do not confer voting rights.

As of 3 January 2024, 44.03% of the company's shares were not in public hands.
